Throughout our working relationship with Bruce Environmental and Response Management (BERM), they have come to us for their website design and development, business card creation, and media kit creation. With only a logo and no other style guidelines, we worked with BERM to build their online and offline presence.
Mark Bruce, CHMM, is the founder of BERM. They provide Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) multi-media services, including project management and logistics, crew supervision, health and safety liaison, site administrator, and waste management.
BERM needed a website to share their services and expertise with potential clients. Mark knew the information he wanted on the site and had a logo, but left the bulk of the design direction up to us.
With no existing style guidelines, we took some direction from the logo. The website graphics echo the lines and angles from the logo. Color from the logo is in the design, along with different shades and other colors to build out the brand style.
We built the site in WordPress and created a custom post type to facilitate their case studies. BERM had no shortage of photography; we utilized it across the site and included gallery functionality in the custom post type.
Mark reached out to us after the website was completed to see if we knew anyone who could create and print business cards. We were happy to inform him that we do that. To design the business cards, we used style components and colors from the BERM website, creating continuity and brand recognition across mediums.
Looking to expand their marketing materials, BERM asked us to design pocket folders and tiered informational documents inside. The purpose of the media kits is to communicate their company and services to potential clients at trade shows and meetings. Pulling again from the style of the website and business cards, it is immediately apparent that the media kit is an extension of the BERM brand.
For their existing marketing materials, BERM can contact us when they need more printed. Then we communicate and transfer the correct files to the printer, allowing BERM to focus on running their business.
