Very English and Rolling Stone (VEARS) came to us for a website redesign to streamline their customers’ buying experience. Previously, VEARS had a landing page where customers could view a catalog of products and then contact VEARS to place an order. We designed and built a custom WordPress theme and integrated WooCommerce for their online store.
About Very English and Rolling Stone
VEARS sells vintage vinyl and concert memorabilia. With no physical store, the website is vital to their business. It’s where customers go to interact with the company, browse their latest inventory, and make purchases.
- Mobile & Desktop
VEARS’ new website is user-friendly and highlights their commitment to serve customers the very best in rock music and collectibles.
The site design is reflective of the artwork on the album covers and vinyl they sell. The new design embraces their current logo and incorporates it into a modern layout.
Inspired by the logo, the black and yellow color scheme give the site a nostalgic and fresh feel. The yellow is used to highlight their business mission to always serve their customers with “Quality Products. Quality Service.” and other calls to action.
The site is built using standards-compliant HTML5, CSS, and responsive programming techniques.
For VEARS we created a custom WordPress template designed to feature their products. WordPress offers the best blend of features, content manager friendliness and customization from a design/development perspective.
We programmed and set up their first WooCommerce based store, integrated with WordPress. WooCommerce was the right choice to manage the VEARS online store. Product management is intuitive, and VEARS can utilize some extensions of WooCommerce, like Name Your Price to streamline transactions.
Custom Import Tool
We created a custom-built Microsoft Access import tool to transfer product content from the old site to the new.
MailChimp was integrated with WordPress so VEARS can connect with customers and contact them when new merchandise is available.
