The Product Owner will be responsible for analysis, planning, ideation, and relationships with our clients and their digital products. This role is highlighted by the vast opportunity to explore industries and align strategies to effectively grow audiences and create sticky behavior for our clients’ digital products. As Mile6 continues to grow at a rapid pace, this team member will play a critical role in helping us improve processes and develop strategies and documentation to enhance our development offerings. Sharing and learning is the responsibility of every member of the team. This role will work with their manager to establish monthly, quarterly, and annual professional development goals.
Responsibilities:
- Amplify the voice of the client as well as offer interpretation of client needs
- Work with clients to analyze business needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals
- Own and execute the product roadmaps
- Develop application functionality requirements and define backlog items that guide the agile development teams
- Identify and write epics, features, and user stories
- Learn constantly with the team through collaboration
- Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product
- Participate in technical conversations surrounding application products with members of the development team
- Lead story workshop sessions
- Write acceptance criteria for user stories during sprint planning
- Be ready to make product-related decisions as well as be accountable for them
- Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with a maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
- Develop and maintain a prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation. Decides when it makes sense to work on each backlog Item. Always working to align with the product’s overall strategy
- Write and maintain user documentation for products
- Be the primary contact for questions related to the product
- Develop detailed specifications for the product features so they are clearly understood by the development team
- Research and analyze the client’s market, product users, and the roadmap for the product
- Work in alignment with agile practices as well as learn and grow in your understanding of agile project management
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in product ownership or a similar role
- High degree of organizational skills
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills with clients and internal teammates
- Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
- Ability to inspire and influence members of the product team
- Willingness to take initiative and innovate on existing products and processes
- Enjoys collaboration and is team minded
- Agency experience and scrum certification a plus

We offer competitive pay, a relaxed work environment, regular company paid functions, flexible schedules and an environment fostering professional growth and collaboration. Starting salary range for this position is $65,000 – $80,000.
